Cast aluminum explosion venting latches are a lightweight solution for doors where you want to minimize the weight. Aluminum resists rust and performs well in wet environments but does not provide the same corrosion resistance as stainless steel in environments with high acidity or salinity.

- Standard Finish: Our most economical option is a standard raw, cast aluminum finish that resists rust.
Our shims are offered in different sizes with an option of steel, iron, or stainless-steel material. Size options for each latch series are listed below.For applications involving hazardous or combustible substances, we also provide spark-proof aluminum pressure release latches in several models.
Series 2 Cast Aluminum Pressure Release LatchesSeries 2 cast aluminum pressure release safety latches provide a release force of 10 lbs.-45.lbs and come in the following options:
Series 3 Cast Aluminum Pressure Release LatchesSeries 3 cast aluminum pressure release latches provide a release force of 43 lbs.-180 lbs. and feature a
regular, adjustable or tall strike. Options include:
- Latch Body Only
- Latch Body & Handle (Right or Left)
- Strike Only (Regular, Tall, or Adjustable)
- Shim (.75 in)
