Spark-proof aluminum is a lightweight material that helps reduce door inertia and provides the corrosion resistance required for some harsh environments. The spark proof material is designed for use around chemicals and other hazardous substances that easily ignite or combust.

Brixon manufactures pressure release safety latches that are easy to install, operate, and adjust for use in a range of venting applications. Our safety latches offer a wide range of adjustability and combining multiple latches on a door allows for pressure adjustments over 3,000 lbs.
 
The Series #2 model pressure release latch is one of only two FM approved spark-proof latches available through any manufacturer. Our spark-proof aluminum explosion venting latches feature an aluminum housing with internals consisting of a stainless-steel spring and brass alloy parts.
 
Aluminum spark-proof safety latches come with a standard finish: 
  • Standard Aluminum Finish: The raw aluminum finish provides corrosion resistance and withstands regular cleaning and sanitation.
We also offer shims in two sizes with an option of steel, iron, or stainless-steel material. Size options are listed below.
